My Morning Ritual in 10 Simple Steps

I am not a morning person. At all. So this year, one of my goals for 2020 was to create a morning ritual. The reason why I wanted to accomplish this was because my mornings have been consisting of being rushed, late, and not very enjoyable. Now, after creating and implementing my new morning ritual into my morning routine for the last ten days, my mornings have been enjoyable. This list consists of things that make me feel happy, ready and energized to attack the day ahead. I have found waking up 35 minutes earlier has been a good amount of time to accomplish my ritual, while enjoying it and not feeling rushed.

My Morning Ritual

  1. Wake up, give John a kiss and tell him I love him.

  2. Hydrate- I usually will drink 30oz of water in the first 35 minutes of waking up

  3. Brush teeth, and apply skincare routine

  4. Take vitamins

  5. Do my 10 minute morning stretch routine

  6. 2 minutes of deep breathing 

  7. Make my morning coffee

  8. Write daily gratitudes, journal entry or read one chapter of my book

  9. Make breakfast 

  10. Go to the gym and start my day.
